Speaker: Ilan Weisberg, MD

Ilan S. Weisberg MD, MAc, is the Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at New York Presbyterian – Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and Associate Professor of Medicine at the Weill Cornell Medical College.

Dr. Weisberg’s research interests focus on cirrhosis, viral hepatitis, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, and alcohol associated liver diseases with particular interest in health care disparity and outcomes research. Dr. Weisberg has been recognized by his students, patients, and colleagues with multiple teaching and clinical practice awards. He has spoken across the country as a visiting professor and guest lecturer and has been a mentor to dozens of physicians new to gastroenterology and liver disease. Dr. Weisberg has authored many peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and book chapters and has served as a reviewer for multiple gastroenterology and hepatology journals.
